Hey hey! A new game has started. I'm trying something a little different this time - a multicache! I've already planted two new containers for Round#1 and Round#2. The co-ordinates for Round#1 are below, but the co-ordinates for Round#2 are in the first microcache! This idea might speed things up a bit, but another new twist is that the winning Bingo pattern will be the "X"....that is, you must get the eight particular numbers that allow you to mark off the two criss-crossing diagonal lines on your card.

The pertinent rules for potential players:
1. Find the Round#1 microcache (it's not the container used previously for GeoBingo) at N53 29.875 W113 30.803.
2. Write down the 10 bingo numbers, and the co-ordinates for Round#2.
3. Send me a private message with those 10 numbers or the Round#2 co-ordinates to verify you found the cache. I will message you back with a link to the Bingo card you will use for this current game.
4. Print off your Bingo card and mark off the numbers matching those
'called' in Round#1.
5. Find the Round#2 microcache (if you're not already a winner Razz) and take note of the numbers. It is NOT walking distance from Round#1...but you may certainly search for Round#2 before you send me the private message.
6. Anticipate that I will retrieve the caches starting December 10 (that gives you 10 days to find them), print off the numbers for Rounds#3 & 4, and hide them in new locations.
7. The winner will be the first to message me with a list of their winning numbers, which I will verify by checking them against their unique bingo card.

Any questions?
To summarize:
GB3R1 = N53 29.875 W113 30.803.
Terrain (for both) = 1.0
Hint (for both) = Jung Evpuneq Avkba pynvzf abg gb or.
ROT-13 = A/N B/O C/P D/Q E/R F/S G/T H/U I/V J/W K/X L/Y M/Z

Sorry, I now realize that's an unrealistic deadline. How about Dec 17?

Unfortunately life has just been too busy the last little while and there is no way we will be able to get the numbers by the 17th. We will have to sit this game out (unless others have the same problem and you decide to extend the deadline???)

Well...I want as many people as possible to play, but I don't think extending the deadline is fair to those (2 players) who hustled (during the coldest weather I might add) to get the numbers in time.

You busy tonight RT Wink ? How's this treatment for someone who handed me a $5 winning scratch ticket on Tuesday Very Happy? You probably didn't even want to win again so soon and have to bother hosting yet another round Rolling Eyes .

Oh yeah, the prize will again be a Bingo lottery ticket. I still intend to retrieve the caches starting this Saturday the 17th, but you could always press your luck and hope that I'm delayed by other (caching) obligations.

D'oh. Didn't have time to pick up the micros this weekend; and forgot to give notice of that on Saturday. I really hope to pick them up and hide them anew tomorrow (Monday) night, but not 'til after 8pm so there's still some time...

Grrrrr! I just came back from some errands on the south side, turned on the computer and found your note that you hadn't picked up the bingo caches yet. I was only a few blocks from the first one! Rolling Eyes

At least 50% of the players would be quite happy with an extended deadline; it lets more people play. The more, the merrier!

Cheers,
VP

There you have it! GeoBingo Game#3 Rounds#1-2 are extended to at least Saturday, December 24. (Realistically, I probably wouldn't get to them until the 26th, but that's not my "official" position.)

OK. Officially I've been too busy/lazy to set-up the next rounds. The first two guys are still in place. Maybe tomorrow night I'll move 'em? Maybe not 'til the weekend? How long can I maintain the suspense? s1_ashamed

The first two rounds are over...I picked up the micros tonight. Boy that lid on #2 was sure tough to pry off...back to the screw-tops methinks. So need a couple more days to set-up new containers.

So, I got a chance to steal away from home last night to set-up the next rounds of the game, and wouldn't you know it? I didn't make sure I had the caches in my geocaching bag! (They were in a different backpack.) s1_doh

Sorry for the wait...please continue to wait...patiently...without posting any threatening zombie pictures under a newly-created alias whose name was probably ripped off from an old Prince album... s1_clown

GB3R3 = N53 31.051 W113 28.360
Terrain = 2.0 (may be a tad slippery going down from street level)
Hint = Ybt onfr perivpr.
ROT-13 = A/N B/O C/P D/Q E/R F/S G/T H/U I/V J/W K/X L/Y M/Z

Inside the round#3 container, you'll find the co-ords for round#4 (GB3R4)...if you need 'em. Again, not walking distance s1_drive .
Terrain = 1.5 (cuz not exactly wheelchair-accessible)
Hint = Lrnu. V jrag gurer.
ROT-13 = A/N B/O C/P D/Q E/R F/S G/T H/U I/V J/W K/X L/Y M/Z

Why do I have the worst luck of picking spots that smell of raw sewage?!? s1_dead

Someone's gotta win this round (we're going for "X").

Heeeeeeelllllllllloooooooooo 'ooo 'oo 'o (echo).

I just realized it's been more than two weeks since starting rounds #3/4, and no-one has yet claimed victory (or claimed to even have gone looking for them). Perhaps it's time to impose a time limit?

I will pick up Rounds #3/4 starting February 14. If you haven't started this game yet, go for it! You still have a chance since you could (in theory) win the game by being the first to find #3/4 (that's 20 numbers in total...of which you need only eight specific ones for the win....depending on the card you get of course).
