Just a heads up about a new adventure quest game about to begin.
It starts in about 24 hours.

http://www.thecachingplace.com/cachunuts/orientx/default.asp?id=2711

Looks like alot of fun.
You'll need to fulfil 16 different kinds of cache finds to unlock all 16 phases of the quest. Everyone is a winner, but the goal is to be first to complete the quest.

I'm going to be trying to do it if anybody is interested in joining me.

Hey Ron,

I read about the challenge on Sunday - wish I had the time this week to participate as it sounds very interesting. I wish you the best in your searches over the coming days / weeks.

I'll watch the site for your progress.

It's not so good so far.

I drew 12 hour start delay
36 hour after my 1st cache
24 hour after my 2nd cache
28 hour after my 3rd cache

RubiconRunner started late, and already passed me with better time draws.

I still don't quite 'get' this contest.

Arrow Have you already found a bunch of appropriate caches but are just waiting until you're allowed to log them?

Arrow What exactly do you do with the 16 clues? Does a certain web form with puzzle quesetions become available to you only after you've logged your 16 caches?

Only caches logged after the start of the contest qualify.
You can't reuse a cahce for more than one requirement.
When you finish all 16 caches.....lI'm not sure, but there will be some sort of puzzle to decypher.

Allow me to clarify:

Have you (or have others) found many or all of the 16 requirement caches after the contest began? If so, have you logged them on GC.com and are just waiting to be able to log them on the contest site?

I"m ahead by 1 cache right now, nad have 4 more qualified caches ready to go. I just need the time to go out.
Some cachers claim to have 12+ of the requirements fulfilled in the first day. They just need to wait for the time allowance to enter them into the contest.

Also, must the caches be logged in any particular order?

Hey Ron,
Thought I had run out of qualifying caches until I seen that you used "School's Out (Forever)". DUH Shocked Embarassed
The snow, cold, and working all this week have brought my quest to a halt as I don't believe I have found any more that qualify Sad

I figured you were away. You did 19 caches, and only 3 of them qualify????

Did you get LINZ??? I was certain I had the correct answer, even took the TB you visited as proof, but couldn't log it!

Yes Embarassed Was trying to clear out the area and then finish up with some OE requirements when the phone rang and Oiler/Flame tiks got offered to me. Called off the quest and headed home so I could make the game.
